Revision of BMP4 High Risk area around Somalia

Reduction in the BMP4 High Risk area

On 8 October 2015 a revision of the BMP4 high risk area involving the following areas : Red Sea, Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea has been released.  The main change involves a decrease in the high risk area compared with the previous version.
The revisions are effective and will offcially apply on 1 December 2015. This will give shipping companies and crews enough time to adapt to the new situation. It is highly recommended that the revisions are taken into account as soon as possible for future voyages. Click here for more information
